If You Give a Cat a Cupcake

My best selling item on Teacher Pay Teachers is:  If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.  I love the idea of children using graphic organizers to help understand the structure of the story!

Cause and Effect

This story allows children to explore the structure, understand cause and effect, and of course have a little fun.
My unit contains:

  • A circular graphic organizer.  There are pictures for almost every event.  The student will cut and paste the graphic organizer in a circle so they can see the structure.
  • Contains a simple cause and effect.  If you give the cat a cupcake (cause) he will want sprinkes (effect).  The student can then decorate their own cupcakes.
  • Contains growing cause and effect.  One action causes many, many different actions.
  • Contains a How to writing prompt.  One can teach the students how to decorate a cupcake.
  • Contains a persuasion writing prompt.  The students must convince the principal to allow cupcakes back into the classroom.

You can find the packet at my TPT store, enjoy!

I'm also joining up with Kristin at Teaching in a Nutshell.  She has a fabulous linky--Sell it Saturday.  It's a great way to promote the items you are selling!
